Pineapple Pachadi Recipe


പൈനാപ്പിൾ പച്ചടി


Pineapple - 1 kg

Sugar - 100 gm

Grated coconut – Half Portion

Green Chilli – 2-3 nos

Cumin seed – Half Teaspoon

Mustard – Half Teaspoon

Coconut oil - 1 teaspoon

Salt – as needed

Curry Leaf - 2 bunch

Chilly Powder (1 teaspoon) (www.keralathanima.in/shop/red-chilli-powder)

Turmeric powder (half teaspoon) (www.keralathanima.in/shop/turmeric-powder-500g)

Dry red chillies - 6 nos

Curd – 1 cup


Peel and slice the pineapple into small pieces.

Cook the pineapple with little sugar.

Add curd, chilly powder and turmeric powder into it add mix well.

Grind the coconut, green chilly and little mustard in a mixer.

Add this paste into the cooked items and again boil it (add water if needed).

Heat oil and temper with mustard, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves and red chilly.

Add to the above mixture and mix well.  Serve with hot rice and enjoy!
